As a transfer student to the United States I was not expecting what was to come and now that I am here I really enjoy this school. Even though the school isn't the best looking they have amazing teachers who have made my learning experience one of the most amazing experiences ever. My grades are improving so much and the school is very good about talking about college experience and ways to make your high school you be the best ever. The only reason it is a 4 stars out of 5 stars is because the lunch and campus could be improved a little more. But other than that i feel like Bonita Vista High School is a wonderful and amazing school to go to for your child's success!

I'm a military child and have been to 10 other schools, so I can say that BVH or BVHS has a pretty relaxed environment. Most students here grew up in the area and there are a lot of sub-communities within the school, yet it is easy to make friends. Thus, the school culture is interesting: individual extracurriculars tend to be extremely committed to whatever the goal of the group is and a lot of time is put into such clubs, like the arts, sports, and niche clubs, but is not as connected as a whole.
So far, I have enjoyed all of my teachers. The BVH teachers tend to have great moral codes and care about their classes, but there are complaints from other students. The biggest flaws of this school are poor facilities (bathrooms are disgusting), the overall lack of work ethic in students (many dislike academics), and the school community as a whole. Albeit its flaws, it is a good school for the bay area's low standards. I've enjoyed my time here and, like others, made good friends.

My experience at Bonita has been so far positive and one thing in particular that has stood out to me about this school is the diverse student body. There are so many different kinds of people you can find at this school, and I believe that no matter who you are, you will most likely be able to find someone similar to you at this school. As someone in the school's VAPA program, I can say that the visual and performing arts aspect of the school is full of amazing talents and hidden gems. Being in the marching band has been an amazing experience for me, and other groups such as our dance and vocal music departments are extremely skilled at what they do. The highlight of Bonita is definitely the people within it; they have made my experience worth while.
