This SMG Dominates CoD: Warzone’s Current Meta

An old favorite SMG has reemerged as the new meta among its class of weapons
Popular CoD YouTuber Metaphor shared his loadout for the Ram-9, saying it is the best SMG in Warzone’s current meta.
Warzone’s Balance Changed with New Season
The quest to keep games balanced is an eternal one, necessitating devs to make constant changes to weapons and other items. Such is the case for Modern Warfare III and Warzone as both games recently had a big update to Season 2. As expected, many nerfs and buffs followed with the release of the update last week, and the meta has been shifted substantially.
Although Warzone’s meta in particular is still somewhat diverse, allowing plenty of competitive options to satisfy anyone who doesn’t want to get bogged down by using just one dominant gun, the SMG category has been shaken up quite a bit. And it seems that one weapon, that many players have used at least a bit in the past, has climbed atop the meta. The accolade goes to the Ram-9, as players are flocking back to it.
Popular Call of Duty YouTuber Metaphor has highlighted the SMG, claiming it’s the “strongest” option in the close range after all the Season 2 Reloaded changes. According to him, the Ram-9 has leapfrogged the HRM as it doesn’t “hit like it used to” and has likely been hit with some stealth nerfs.
To prove his point, the YouTuber created a long video explaining the strengths of the gun in the new Warzone meta. The player also shared his loadout, which can surprisingly be tweaked in two different ways, giving some options to players who want to use the weapon.
The weapon’s barrel can be changed depending on if the player wants more control. If that’s the case, then players should use the Speedway V5 Short Barrel. However, if you’re on top of things with recoil, use the Armistice Light Barrel. Here is the full loadout that Metaphor suggests:
Muzzle: Purifier Muzzle Break
Barrel: Armistice Light Barrel
Underbarrel: OR-6 Handstop
Magazine: 50-round mag
Stock: HVS 3.4 Pad
Considering the current WZRanked stats, Metaphor’s words have a lot of weight to them. The SMG has risen up to be the most popular close-range gun in the battle royale. That being said, the Ram-9 sits behind the SVA 545 when it comes to being the most popular weapon overall. However, that’s still quite a mark, meaning that the SMG will be close to the top of the meta until a future big update changes thibgs again.
