Warzone 2.0 has brought back several of my favorite SMGs as well as added some new ones. Of the 9 SMGs available, there is no doubt that the FSS Hurricane is the best choice among players. It has the highest versatility out of any weapon in the game and can even be used as an assault rifle.

But what about the others? How do the other SMGs, such as the Fennec 45 and the Lachmann Sub, fare against the FSS Hurricane? In this guide, I’ll take a look at the best SMG and what load-outs you should equip.

1. FSS Hurricane

Best Damage SMG

The FSS Hurricane is considered one of the best SMGs due to its versatility, accuracy, and high damage output. To optimize its performance, you can use this loadout:

• Muzzle: AVR-T90 Comp
• Stock: Assault-60 Stock Factory
• Barrel: FSS Cannonade 16″
• Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56

The Cronen Mini Pro optic enhances your aiming capabilities, while the AVR-T90 Comp muzzle reduces horizontal recoil and stabilizes the gun. The FTAC Ripper 56 under barrel further improves stability and recoil control.

The FSS Cannonade 16″ barrel significantly extends the weapon’s range, making it more effective in mid-range engagements. The Assault-60 Stock Factory stock enhances your aiming and ensures consistent accuracy. This loadout maximizes the FSS Hurricane’s strengths in accuracy, damage, and range.

2. Fennec 45

Best Early Game SMG

If you need a faster SMG, then there could be no better option than the Fennec 45. With the fastest fire rate among other SMGs in Warzone 2, Fennec 45 is great for rapidly shooting down enemies.

This SMG is best used in close combat situations. It has a lower TTK, meaning you can take down enemies within just seconds. It has power that rivals that of larger assault rifles and can land fatal blows within the blink of an eye.

However, the Fennec 45 isn’t completely devoid of flaws. It has a very small magazine that, given its high speed, is a severe let-down. The magazine will run out before you can land more shots. And with the frequency of reloading, you won’t be able to use the gun at its full potential.

Additionally, the Fennec 45 has a lot of recoil that will hinder your ability to fire in rapid succession. Hence, you’ll need a strong stock and barrel to maintain the stability of the gun. However, it’s still a viable option when you control for the hindering factors.

This is one of the best loadouts for the Fennec 45 which improves its recoil and stability when in battle. The loadout features a ZLR 16.5″ Ignition Barrel, perfect for keeping the Fennec 45 in a stable position when firing.

Then there’s the FTAC Castle Comp which, when combined with the barrel, improves the gun’s recoil. Additionally, these two attachments improve the hip fire accuracy of the Fennec 45.

Moreover, there is the VLK LZR 7MW laser paired with the Cronen Mini Pro. These two help you improve your accuracy as well as your ADS speed. They let you hit your enemies without any hesitation right before they move out of the way.

Lastly, there’s the Fennec Mag 45. The magazine is quite capacious and will make up for the smaller default magazine. Still, you’ll be needing to reload quite frequently, which can be frustrating considering this is supposed to be the fastest SMG in the game.

However, its slow firing rate and low damage output limit its effectiveness in team fights and longer ranges. To optimize its performance, consider this loadout:

However, it boasts some strengths, such as a fast bullet velocity and a generous 50-round magazine.

For those who can harness its potential, here’s a recommended loadout that enhances the gun’s range, damage, and speed:

Best SMG To Level Up

The Minibak is a slow-firing SMG with a sluggish TTK (Time to Kill). However, its strengths lie in its precision and accuracy, making it a suitable choice for medium-range combat. It boasts a generous 64-round magazine, the largest among SMGs in Warzone 2, reducing the need for frequent reloads. Here’s a recommended Minibak loadout:

9. MX9

Best SMG For Zombies

The MX9 is a less powerful gun in the game due to its low range, bullet velocity, and recoil control. Its saving grace is its higher damage output, which may appeal to newer players. However, experienced players tend to prioritize other factors like speed, recoil control, and range, making the MX9 a secondary weapon choice at best.

If you decide to use it, consider this loadout:

• Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
• Muzzle: SA Schalldampfer 99
• Comb: FTAC C11 Riser
• Barrel: 16.5″ STB Factory
• Magazine: 32 Round Mag

Why Others Were Not Chosen?

1. HRM-9: It has very high ammo consumption which leads to quick ammo drainage, I do not prefer that in aggressive SMG plays.
2. Striker 9: Very Limited Range, as Striker 9 struggles at eliminating mid-range enemies.
3. WSP Swarm: Very Low Damage Output, hence it takes more bullets to take out an opponent.
4. AMR-9: Very High recoil which I find hard to control. Recoil can be a big problem, as it hinders your accuracy.
5. ISO 9MM: Magazine Size is much less. Combining this with a fast fire rate, the SMG reloads frequently, which is a big drawback.

Personal Opinion About The Best SMGs

Warzone 2.0 has come with yet another set of powerful SMGs, some old and some new. As the stats of the guns change with each update, it’s crucial to stay up to date on the best SMG.

Of these, the FSS Hurricane has got to be the best for its versatility and ease of use. It’s followed by the Fennec 45 and the Lachmann Sub (MP5) for a prominent fire rate and accuracy in the heat of battle.
